Akash Deep’s availability could give their bowling attack a nice boost against Mumbai Indians (MI)

That’s a big boost for LSG, especially since they’ve been looking to strengthen their pace attack. Akash Deep’s back injury kept him out for a while, but if he’s fit and firing, he could definitely add some depth to their bowling lineup. Plus, having faced MI before at Wankhede might give him a bit of confidence. With MI’s batting looking pretty strong, especially after that impressive showing led by rookies like Ashwani Kumar, LSG will need all the firepower they can get. Akash’s ability to hit the deck hard could be useful against power hitters like Suryakumar Yadav and Tim David. Wow, INR 8 crores is a big investment, so LSG will definitely be keen to get Akash Deep on the field as soon as he's fit. With injuries piling up—especially losing Mohsin Khan for the season and Mayank Yadav struggling—it makes sense to bolster the pace attack. Having Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan gives them some firepower, but both have been a bit inconsistent lately. Akash Deep’s ability to hit hard lengths and generate bounce could complement them well, especially if Wankhede has some pace and carry. Prince Yadav looked decent, but he’s still pretty raw at this level. Akash’s experience from playing with RCB and his knack for picking up wickets in T20s could give LSG that extra edge. Plus, with their start to the season being a bit shaky (just one win in three games), they’ll want to make a statement against MI.
