BPL: Nurul Hasan smashed 30 runs in last over in Rangpur's fought against eminent loss triumph
Nurul Hasan hit three sixes and three fours in the last over of Rangpur Riders' pursuit against Fortune Barishal in a Bangladesh Head Association (BPL) match in Sylhet on Thursday, to take his group to a last-ball win.
It was the third most elevated last-over score in a men's T20, behind Somerset's 34 runs in a nine-ball over against Somerset in the T20 Impact in 2015 and Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) 31 against Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2023.
Nurul was on 2 from one ball subsequent to leaving in the eighteenth over of Rangpur's pursuit of Barishal's 197 for 5. To start with, he saw Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jahandad Khan send four hitters back toward the finish of the nineteenth over - including Mahedi Hasan given out hindering the field. Then, at that point, facing Kyle Mayers' medium speed with Rangpur requiring 26 hurries to dominate the match, Nurul went 6 (scythed over cow corner), 4 (scooped over fine leg), 4 (barely shy of the rope at profound square), 6 (into the stands at profound midwicket) and 4 (through the covers) to pass on two races to get off the last ball, which he crushed square on the leg side for six more. Toward the beginning of that over, it appeared as though Rangpur's unbeaten disagreement the opposition was finished. Toward its finish, they had made it six successes out of six and were six focuses clear at the top.
After the game, Nurul recalled one more last over where he was unable to take care of business. "I generally lamented not having the option to take 20 runs off the last over against India, in the [2022] T20 World Cup," he said. "We drew near however I was unable to complete the task in that huge stage."*
This time around, he delivered one of his "best thumps". "Khushdil [Shah], who struck two sixes in the nineteenth over, said that we can in any case dominate this match. [Non-striker Kamrul Islam] Rabbi bhai advised me to play each of the six balls in the last finished. I think the initial six gave me the most conviction. They have a decent bowling assault. 26 runs was a ton of runs... I was simply trusting that I got the balls in my zone.
"It is the same old thing - individuals frequently fail to remember my thumps of twenties or thirties. It's anything but nothing to joke about as long as I can contribute for the group. Since I could dominate the match for the group, this is quite possibly of my best thump."
Mahedi out discouraging the field
That last over was not by any means the only show in the game. The nineteenth over, which Khushdil started with successive sixes prior to falling, created three wickets: the subsequent one falling through a deterring the-field episode.
Mahedi Hasan was confronting his most memorable ball, with Nurul at the opposite end. Mahedi hurled the ball down the pitch, Nurul set out to get the strike, and the bowler Jahandad Khan hared towards his left to gather the flying heave. Nurul and the bowler impacted mostly down the pitch, as the last option was hoping to finish the return-get. An allure followed and Mahedi was given out as per Regulation 37.3.1 that states "on the off chance that the conveyance is definitely not a no-ball, the striker is out discouraging the field on the off chance that wilful hindrance or interruption by either hitter forestalls the striker being out gotten."
Nurul said of the occurrence: "I was attempting to take a run. He just came before me. I didn't fundamentally alter my direction. I in no way wanted to block the bowler. The umpire informed us that whoever was the striker in that case, would be pronounced out."
The last piece of show came after Nurul's triumphant six, when Barishal skipper Tamim Iqbal was seen being kept away from a contention with individuals from the resistance. "I saw it mostly however I'm not mindful what's going on with it," Nurul said.
Barishal mentor Nafees Iqbal portrayed the episode hence: "I recently saw that there was some energy after the game. Feelings frequently extend after this kind of match. I trust it isn't anything significant. Perhaps something was said, which provoked the response. I don't think it is significant."
Rangpur player Alex Hales who was engaged with the occurrence told Channel 24: "He [Tamim] was annoyed about something. I don't know yet perhaps in light of the fact that his group had quite recently lost. We shook hands. Nothing was said. He inquired as to whether I have a comment, express it to his face. I said nothing. He was getting extremely private."
