Canada name uncapped batter Kanwarpal Tathgur in T20 World Cup squad
Canada have picked uncapped batter Kanwarpal Tathgur in their 15-member squad for T20 World Cup 2024. Tathgur, who has played only eight List A games, is one of the six new faces from the side that played against USA in the five-match T20I series last month.
The others incorporate Guyana-conceived seamer Jeremy Gordon, who had made his presentation for Canada in 2012; 39-year-old allrounder Junaid Siddiqui, who last played a T20I in February 2022; left-arm fast Kaleem Sana; 35-year-old player Ravinderpal Singh, whose past T20I had come in 2022; and batting allrounder Rayyan Pathan. Unforgiving Thaker, Nicholas Kirton, and Dilpreet Bajwa are the main players matured under 30 in the side.
