Gardner Cleared of Concussion After Warm-Up Collision
Ashleigh Gardner has been cleared of concussion after the allrounder's odd impact with Georgia Wareham before Australia's T20I against New Zealand.
Gardner missed Australia's series-opening win in Mackay on Thursday night, after she and Wareham conflicted heads during a warm-up game.
Wareham has also been cleared of any concussion symptoms after recovering from the knock to play in the five-wicket win.
Saturday's news will subsequently come as a welcome help to Gardner, with both she and Wareham an opportunity to play the second T20 against New Zealand in Mackay on Sunday.
Australia likewise have other injury worries in front of the following month's World Cup in the UAE with Grace Harris (calf) and Kim Garth (knee) both missing the New Zealand series.
Beth Mooney, who will pay her 100th T20I in the second match of the series, said Australia would be hoping to hone up.
"It was a decent game for us, not an extraordinary one," Mooney said. "So we're hoping to hone up each feature of the game, perhaps getting off to somewhat of a superior beginning with the bat as far as wickets lost, and afterward with the ball, perhaps cleaning up maybe a couple regions there.
"[New Zealand] got 140 on the board and they maybe were a couple of runs low, so we'll need to change tomorrow evening in the event that they come out quite hard."
