Gill and Sudharsan set to miss second unofficial test for India A vs England Lions .

India's newly appointed Test captain Shubman Gill and in-form opener B Sai Sudharsan will not participate in the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions, scheduled from June 6 to 9 in Northampton. Initially, both were slated to join the India A squad for this match to gain red-ball practice ahead of the upcoming Test series. However, plans have changed, and they will now travel directly with the senior Test squad, arriving in England on June 6 .
KL Rahul, who was not part of the initial India A squad, is expected to feature in the second unofficial Test to regain red-ball match fitness. He is likely to partner Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top of the order in the first Test against England, starting June 20 in Leeds .
The first unofficial Test between India A and England Lions concluded in a draw, with notable performances from Karun Nair, who scored a double-century, and Dhruv Jurel, who hit two half-centuries. The upcoming second match will serve as a crucial preparation for players ahead of the five-match Test series .
