RR named Emanjot Chahal as Ravi Singh replacement
Emanjot Chahal has been signed by the Rajasthan Royals to replace Ravi Singh, their wicketkeeper and batsman, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for the remainder of the IPL 2026. Ravi featured in a single IPL game this season - against Delhi Capitals on May 17.
Patiala-born all-rounder Emanjot bowls left-arm spin. He was born in 2004. He has taken 11 wickets for Punjab in three first-class matches he has played in. Chahal also scored 83 points against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 matchup.
RR have made this acquisition one day out from their last league stage game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede on May 24. RR still have their playoffs fate in their hands as a win will guarantee them the fourth spot.
