Saim Ayub , Hasan Ali back in Pakistan T20I squad

Pakistan has announced its 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, featuring the returns of Saim Ayub and Hasan Ali. The series will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 27, 29, and 31, 2025.
Young opener Saim Ayub makes his return to the national side after recovering from a right ankle fracture sustained during the Cape Town Test against South Africa in January 2025. The injury had sidelined him from the ICC Champions Trophy and the subsequent New Zealand series. His rehabilitation progressed well, and he was deemed fit ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. His inclusion in the T20I squad marks a significant boost to Pakistan's top-order batting options.
Fast bowler Hasan Ali has been recalled to the T20I squad, having last featured in the format in September 2022. His selection comes as part of Pakistan's strategy to strengthen their pace attack ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Hasan was previously released from the T20I squad ahead of the England series to fulfill his county cricket commitments. With Haris Rauf recovering from a shoulder injury sustained during the PSL, Hasan's experience and form in domestic cricket have earned him a spot in the squad.
