Yuzvendra Chahal's exceptional bowling, including a hat-trick, restricted CSK to 190 runs. In the chase, Iyer led from the front with a commanding 72 off 41 balls, supported by Prabhsimran Singh's 54, guiding PBKS to victory with two balls to spare . This incident marks Iyer's second slow over-rate penalty in consecutive IPL seasons; he was previously fined ₹12 lakh in 2024 while captaining Kolkata Knight Riders .​
