Sutherland wins back-to-back Belinda Clark Awards
For the second consecutive year, all-rounder Annabel Sutherland has been given the Belinda Clark Award, the highest annual recognition for a woman cricketer in Australia. Sutherland, with 77 votes, narrowly edged out Beth Mooney, who received 74 votes, for the honour. Alana King stood in third place with 56 votes.
"It was definitely a surprise but it's a huge honour and I'm very grateful to win the Belinda Clark Award - an award named after a legend of the game, Sutherland said. "The goal is always to know that I have contributed over the past few years.
"First and foremost, I want to be able to consistently contribute to the success of this team. All of us are now looking forward to the upcoming series against India, which begins tonight with the first Twenty20 International."
Sutherland scored 250 runs at an average of 41.66 and took 27 wickets at an average of 15.63 across all formats. Additionally, she was named the 2026 ODI Player of the Year. On the other hand, Mooney was named T20 Player of the Year.
