The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has officially designated Abu Dhabi as its home base for the next five years

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has officially designated Abu Dhabi as its home venue for the next five years after signing a destination support agreement with Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub (ADCSH). Due to Afghanistan’s political situation, the team has been unable to host international matches at home and has previously played in India's Dehradun, Lucknow, Greater Noida, and various UAE venues.
Under this agreement, Abu Dhabi will host all ACB training camps and matches for Afghanistan A and national age-group teams. Additionally, the ACB will work with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to organize senior men's bilateral series in UAE venues.
ACB chief executive Naseeb Khan expressed gratitude for the UAE's support, calling the move to Abu Dhabi a "turning point for Afghanistan cricket." He emphasized that the arrangement would help develop young talent and strengthen Afghanistan's cricketing future.
ADCSH chief executive Matt Boucher highlighted the partnership’s alignment with Abu Dhabi’s broader sports vision, saying, "We’ve loved hosting Afghanistan over the last couple of years and are pleased we can confirm Abu Dhabi as their second home."
