UAE to host Afghanistan’s white-ball series against Sri Lanka
In March, Afghanistan will play host to Sri Lanka for the first time in a multi-format white-ball series that includes three ODIs and three T20Is in the United Arab Emirates from March 13 to March 25.
Sharjah will host the T20I portion of the tour on March 13, 15, and 17. Dubai will host the ODI match on March 20, 22, and 25.
Just five days after the T20 World Cup concludes on March 8, the T20I series will begin. The ODI series will end on March 26, one day before the IPL and PSL begin. Across the two franchise competitions, players from both countries, including Dasun Shanaka, Rashid Khan, Kusal Perera, and Noor Ahmad, are in various squads.
Only the second bilateral T20I series will be played between the two teams. In February 2024, that was the first time.
After previous encounters in 2022, 2023, and 2024, this will be the fourth bilateral series in ODIs between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
