USA cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy has been banned from all cricket for eight years after an ICC anti-corruption tribunal found him guilty of three breaches of the ICC anti-corruption code. The suspension has been backdated to November 21, 2025, the date on which he was provisionally suspended, and will run until November 2033. The ICC served as the designated anti-corruption official (DACO) for the Emirates Cricket Board during the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10, which led to the allegations. Akhilesh was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.1 of the Code, which relates to attempting to fix, contrive or otherwise improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of matches. According to Article 2.1.4, he was also found guilty of soliciting, inducing, enticing, instructing, persuading, encouraging, or intentionally facilitating another participant's violation of Article 2.1.1. In addition, the tribunal found him guilty of violating Article 2.4.7 after determining that he obstructed the investigation by deleting data and messages from his mobile device that could have been relevant to the inquiry. In April 2025, Akilesh took part in four T20Is for the United States. He is the second USA international to fall foul of the anti-corruption code this year. Earlier, batter Aaron Jones received a sanction and a provisional suspension for five violations of the ICC Code of Conduct while competing in the Barbados Bim10 tournament during the 2023–24 season.
