Amber Kainat earns maiden call-up for Zimbabwe T20Is

Amber Kainat, an uncapped fast bowler, has been selected by Pakistan for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 International series against Zimbabwe, which will be held in Karachi. Kainat is one of only two uncapped players in the 15-member squad for the series that is led by Fatima Sana. The other player is Saira Jabeen, who keeps her spot after touring South Africa in February. Amber's call-up follows her impressive performance for the Invincibles in the National Women's T20 Tournament, where she took 11 wickets in eight matches. Despite Sidra Amin's notable absence, the team is largely similar to the one that toured South Africa. Amin is part of the five reserves for this series, as is pacer Diana Baig. Off-spinner Rameen Shamim is back in the squad after an injury ruled her out of the South Africa tour. Shamim's replacement, Umm-e-Hani, and Humna Bilal have been left out of that tour. The first Twenty20 International is scheduled for May 12, with the remaining games on May 14 and 15. The National Stadium in Karachi will be the venue for each and every match.
