Chinelle Henry's all-round performance power West Indies win against Pakistan

West Indies made it two wins out of two in the Women's Tri-series in Ireland thanks to a number of players who pitched in and made significant contributions. After winning their first match against the hosts on Thursday (May 28), West Indies turned it up a notch and defeated Pakistan by 25 runs just 24 hours later. Deandra Dottin and Qiana Joseph did not score, but skipper Hayley Matthews' quick 20-ball 40 with nine fours set the pace early for her team. After Matthews left, Stafanie Taylor continued to party until she lost for 39. In the death overs, it was the duo of Chinelle Henry and Jannillea Glasgow who hammered the Pakistan attack to all parts to help West Indies finish with one short of 200. Henry remained unbeaten with 33 runs off 17 balls, while Jannillea scored the most runs for her team with a crucial 42 off 25 balls. Pakistan's 200-run target was always going to be a challenge, and they were hurt by losing three wickets in the first four overs. Henry castled Muneeba Ali in the second over after Gull Feroza departed in the first. Ayesha Zafar was also fired by Henry, which left Pakistan reeling at 28/3. The fact that Pakistan still managed to claw their way up to 174/8 was largely thanks to the efforts of Aliya Riaz and Fatima Sana down the order. Before that, Saira Jabeen revived the innings with a 19-ball 30. Iram Javed and Rameen Shamim got off to good starts, but they were unable to put up significant scores. After that, Riaz scored 37 runs off 28 deliveries, and Sana made a cameo with 27 runs off 14 deliveries, but West Indies never lost control of the game and won it all.
