Yeah — that’s right! David Warner has officially joined the Seattle Orcas for MLC 2025.
This will be Warner’s first season in the U.S.-based T20 league, which kicks off on June 12, 2025. The Orcas are hoping his explosive batting and vast experience — especially from the IPL and international cricket — will strengthen their lineup after a tough previous season.
Considering his track record (13,000+ T20 runs, IPL titles, and that unforgettable 335* in Tests), he’s a huge signing for the Orcas and for MLC as a whole.
Warner, renowned for his explosive batting style, brings a wealth of experience to the Orcas. Over his illustrious T20 career, he has amassed nearly 13,000 runs, including 108 half-centuries and 8 centuries. His international acclaim includes a monumental unbeaten 335 against Pakistan in 2019, the second-highest Test score by an Australian .
In franchise cricket, Warner has been a standout performer in the Indian Premier League (IPL), scoring over 6,000 runs with 62 fifties and 4 centuries. He notably led Sunrisers Hyderabad to their first IPL championship in 2016 and is a three-time Orange Cap winner. Despite going unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, Warner has maintained his form, recently captaining the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League and contributing to the Dubai Capitals' ILT20 title win earlier this year .
