Labuschagne set for short county stint with Glamorgan

Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne is set to rejoin Glamorgan for a brief stint in the County Championship, ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa in June. He will be available for two matches, facing Northamptonshire and Middlesex later this month.
This marks Labuschagne’s fifth consecutive season with Glamorgan, underscoring his strong connection with the Welsh county. The short stint is designed to help him regain form and rhythm following a challenging period in Test cricket, where he has averaged just 25.63 across 2024 and 2025 without scoring a century since July 2023.
Australian spinner Nathan Lyon has expressed confidence in Labuschagne's ability to bounce back, highlighting his competitive spirit and dedication.
Glamorgan, currently competing in Division Two of the County Championship, will benefit from Labuschagne’s experience and batting prowess during his brief tenure. His return is timely, as the team looks to bolster its performance in the ongoing season.
