Pratika Rawal back in India squad for Australia ODIs

India's opening batsman Pratika Rawal, who suffered an injury at the 2025 Women's World Cup, has been included in their ODI lineup for the upcoming series against Australia. A press release from the BCCI confirmed that Rawal had fully recovered from the ankle injury she sustained in October during India's World Cup victory and had successfully completed her rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE). After suffering an injury while fielding, Rawal was forced to leave the field in the rain-hit game against Bangladesh and was replaced in the squad by Shafali Verma prior to the semi-final. Since her long recovery, Rawal has stopped playing competitive cricket. She was also included in the squad earlier for the one-time Test that comes after the Australia WODIs. Even as she stayed away from the field, Rawal continued to benefit from the record-breaking start to her international career, making an entry into BCCI's central contracts list. Despite not having played a Women's T20I yet, she was also signed by the UP Warriorz for the 2026 WPL. She was unable to compete because of her recovery. The ODI series begins on February 24 with the first game in Brisbane, and the other two in Hobart. The sole Test will be held in Perth. India squad for the Australia ODIs : Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk), Uma Chetry (wk), Kashvee Gautam, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Pratika Rawal.
