Rahul Dravid’s Son Anvay Named in India U-19 Squad for Sri Lanka Tour


Anvay Dravid, younger son of Rahul Dravid, named in India Men’s U-19 ODI squad for the Sri Lanka tour. He’s one of two wicketkeepers in the 15-man white-ball squad, alongside Rajat Baghel. Tour dates: July 4-23, 2026. 3 one-dayers in Hambantota on July 4, 6, 9, followed by 2 multi-day games in Galle and Colombo. Anvay is a right-hand batter and wicketkeeper who has played one match for India B Under-19s, against Afghanistan Under-19s, as part of a one-day tri-series at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025. He made a first-ball duck in the match and took two catches behind the stumps. Anvay recently led Karnataka's Under-19 side to the quarter-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He scored 220 runs in the tournament - the second-most for his side - averaging 55.00 across six innings. The two Under-19 sides picked for the upcoming tour will be led by Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh, with Uttarakhand top-order batter Lakshya Raichandani named as his deputy.
