Sahibzada Farhan hundred powers Multan Sultans to record chase

Multan Sultans defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen in Lahore by six wickets, completing the fifth-highest PSL chase thanks to a superb hundred from Sahibzada Farhan. Sultans crossed the finish line with eight balls remaining, chasing 226. Farhan led the charge with an unbeaten 106 off 57 balls, his ninth T20 ton setting the tone early in a 104-run opening stand with Steven Smith, who made a quick 46 off 20. The pair took control of the Powerplay after a quiet first over and helped the Sultans score 83 in the first six overs. Farhan reached fifty in just 25 balls and maintained the momentum of the innings even as wickets were lost at the other end. Kingsmen fought back briefly through Hassan Khan and Saim Ayub, but Shan Masood's brisk 29 off 16 ensured the chase did not lose momentum. The pressure was relieved in the final overs when Arafat Minhas struck an unbeaten 26 off 11 balls. Farhan got to century in the 19th over and sealed the win with a six later in the same over. Earlier, Kingsmen posted a strong 225 for 5, powered by Maaz Sadaqat and Sharjeel Khan. Sharjeel remained unbeaten on 51 from 26 balls, while Maaz reached his 50th century in just 19 deliveries. Despite the big total, Marnus Labuschagne-led Kingsmen slipped to their third straight defeat, while Multan Sultans registered back-to-back wins to begin their campaign on a strong note.
