Sanju Samson to miss RCB clash due to abdominal Injury

Due to an abdominal injury, Sanju Samson will miss the Rajasthan Royals' upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. "Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is currently undergoing recovery and will remain at the team's home base with select RR medical staff," read a statement from the organization. He will not travel to Bangalore for the upcoming match against RCB as part of his ongoing rehabilitation. "The management of the team is closely monitoring his progress and will take a game-by-game approach regarding his return to action," reads the statement. Due to the same reason, Samson had missed Royals' previous match against Lucknow Super Giants. He had injured himself while batting in the previous match against Delhi Capitals. Riyan Parag had been appointed captain in his absence, and the timetable for Samson's recovery is a mystery. Similar duties had been performed by Parag at the beginning of the season, when Samson was recovering from thumb surgery. Before he was fully fit again, he had been told not to keep wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old, made his debut in RR's previous match against Lucknow Super Giants thanks to the injury. Nevertheless, it is a setback for a team that has performed inconsistently throughout IPL 2025, currently occupying eighth place with just two victories after eight games. On April 24, they will play RCB at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
