Dilara Akter fifty powers Bangladesh to win over Netherlands
In a rain-hit match that was reduced to eight overs per side after a delayed start, Bangladesh Women defeated Netherlands Women by 13 runs. In the final tri-series match, Bangladesh posted 98 for 3 thanks to Dilara Akter's blistering half-century, and their bowlers held off a strong Dutch chase.
Dilara dominated the first overs of a 42-run opening stand with Juairiya Ferdous (13), hitting eight fours and two sixes for 51 runs off 26 balls. Despite losing wickets in the final over, Bangladesh reached 50 in four overs and maintained momentum. Bangladesh posted a challenging total at the end thanks to Sobhana Mostary's 11 runs and Nigar Sultana's two fours in her nine-ball cameo.
Netherlands got off to a flying start through Heather Siegers (21) and Babette de Leede (30), who added 52 runs for the first wicket. But Bangladesh turned the game around when Fariha Trisna dismissed both set batters in the fifth over. Robine Rijke kept the chase alive with a quick 21 off 12 balls, and Netherlands needed 19 from the final over. Bangladesh won by 13 runs after Ritu Moni delivered under pressure, taking two wickets and contributing to a run-out.
